City Lights

In 1944, the movie Meet Me in St. Louis introduced America to what became one of it’s best loved Christmas songs, Have Yourself a merry Little Christmas. The haunting music was written by Birmingham, AL native Hugh Martin, lyrics by Ralph Blane, and over the years has been sung by some of the prettiest voices in the business. My favorites have been Judy Garland, Rosemary Clooney, and Annie Lennox. Maybe this little woodland fawn has come to St Louis to meet somebody special! Or maybe he’s in Philadelphia, Madison, New Orleans, Stevens Point or Sarasota, where special people around the world are waiting to meet someone special tonight.

Hang a shining star upon the highest bough, and have yourselves a merry little Christmas now.

Crazy Christmas Kitties

Jumping Kitties-WM

Is your Christmas starting to feel a little bit like this? These Christmas kitties simply want to lend a furry paw to help you get ready for your last minute holiday tasks. The collection of cats are all from the Poppystamps collection, and the 3D paper Mini Gift Bags are from Memory Box, cut from a patterned shopping bag of my own. The extra little doo dads and decorations are bits I made and found from my holiday embellishments drawer. Have yourself a merry little Christmas, and keep your furry friends safe and warm too!

Holiday Visitor

Woodlawn Fawn Window-WM

A little holiday visitor peeks in the window at the Christmas festivities inside. Using Poppystamps dies, I created this warm Christmas scene that reminds me of my home state of Wisconsin. Wherever you spend your holidays this year, open your hearts to those near and dear.

Christmas on the Beach

Pink Peach Balls-WM

After I made these pretty pink ornaments hanging from a Christmas pine, my husband told me they remind him of big pink beach balls, and the branches look like palm trees. It’s no surprise, since here in the deep South near the Gulf, warm weather and no snow makes Christmas feel like a tropical vacation! Let your holidays be fun and colorful, no matter where you celebrate. And pass the holiday rum!

Run, Run Rudolph!

Every year, I look forward to hearing Chuck Berry’s version of Run, Run Rudolph, and that rockin’ saxophone¬† accompaniment. It’s always one of my favorites. So, here’s a flashy and glittery Rudolph that even Chuck Berry would love to sing about. I used Memory Box’s Elegant Scrollwork, Leaping Deer, Winterland Tree, and Winterland Tree Background, and made the gold stars out of Poppystamp’s Superstar Border. The background paper is from the Memory Box collection. Christmas is almost here! Gotta run!
