All Things Embossed! What a great idea for this challenge from Virginia’s View! There’s still a little time to play along here: http://virginiasviewchallenge.blogspot.ca/2015/03/guest-designer-heather-hoffman.html
I found this beautiful paper from the Uncharted card stock pack from the Paper Studio that looked like a pretty French postcard, which gave me the idea to make this romantic piece. I wanted it to feel as if an old box of memories were opened, a French postcard, a letter, a sketch, a pretty blue ribbon that tied it all together, all sparkling memories from that summer on the Sienne. Since this is an embossing challenge, I started with an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts to create this variegated chevron pattern. I stamped the notebook pages with Le London Script from Stampabilities, and Woman in Repose from Rubber Stampede, oldies but goodies! Then I used clear embossing powder with a bit of a chalky feel to give both the letter and the “sketch” a smooth, raised feel, like pastel chalk on drawing paper. It turned out to be a pretty and surprising effect! Thanks for joining us today!
Live your life in color!
