Time Out Challenge

IMG_1648-wm

Hi everybody! Today it is my honor to be the guest designer over at the Time Out Challenge! The challenge is an “inspired by words” challenge: You can’t make a rainbow without a little rain. There’s still plenty of time to enter your creation over at Time Out right here: http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/

I made something special for today, a triple window shaker card! I’ve made shaker cards before, but never with more than one window! I used tiny blue and white micro beads as the sparkly filler inside the clouds.

I would love to thank everyone over at Time Out for inviting me to play along with this challenge as a guest designer. You might have the opportunity to be a guest designer just like I did by entering your inspired by words creations!

Thanks for joining us today!

Simon Says Stamps has a great challenge this week – Make Your Own Background! I made my background with the Texture Honey Comb designer stencil from Memory Box, Smoke Blue Ink, and clear embossing powder. I just love that little bit of texture and shine! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this card, but I’m really happy with the effect. It reminds me of sunlight filtering through the branches on a sunny day!

Thanks for joining me today.

My Favorite Things Color Challenge #19

color19

color-19-swatch

My Favorite Things has a new challenge this week, using the terrific color combination of Summer Splash, Sour Apple, Nightshift Blue, and Whip Cream! Doesn’t that sound yummy? I used a few dies from Poppystamps and Papertrey inks, along with that beautiful mini-doilie from MFT to create a tangy button frame card. It fees like it would be a nice card for a new baby or a new home. There’s still a little time left to play along with MFT right here: http://www.cardchallenges.com/search/label/colorchallenge

Serendipity Stamps has a wonderful challenge this month, Monograms and Verse! I love making monogram note cards for my letter writing friends and myself too! They are such an easy way to send a quick thank you or hello!

I used a few brand new products for my monogram! The pretty yellow Art Deco Roses are from Poppystamps. The intricate blue medallion piece is from Serendipty Stamps! I recently ordered the Ornament Die and used that as the centerpiece for my Monogram! I love the effect! Fusion Challenge

IMG_1650-wm

Our friends at Fusion have a beautiful inspiration photo this week that I just fell in love with! The scene is both elegant, yet a little casual too, as if the flowers were gathered outside that morning. I was inspired by the deep blues and pinks of the flowers and the interesting lay-out. I used the last of this beautiful elegant paper that I have that always reminded me of an 18th century tapestry of a nature scene. You can play along with fusion right here:
