Paper Sweeties November Inspiration

I am so excited to be sharing some good news with you all today! I have been selected as the Guest Designer for Paper Sweeties Inspiration #37 November Challenge! This is a big honor for me! It is also the very first time I have ever used a Paper Sweeties product, the Mason Jar die and stamp bundle. There is SO much crafty goodness to love about Paper Sweeties! You can get all the details and link up your November project right here:

I love the dark earth tones in the inspiration photo, but it was quite a challenge keeping it down to only three colors! I may have fudged on that one a little. Most of the dies I used today are from Poppystamps, but the star of the show is that sweet Mason Jar Bundle available from paper Sweeties right here:

I stamped the Mason Jar on white paper, then stamped the jar topper and label from some autumn color paper I had in my stash. I carefully cut out the patterned pieces and adhered them onto the mason jar, then added some orange baker’s twine on the top! Easy Breezy! I hope you’ll get a chance to play along with Paper Sweeties this month! You might just win a challenge and become a guest designer – -like me! Thank you so much to Debbie and the Paper Sweeties team!

Halloween Pocket Letters

Happy Halloween! It’s time to get your Boo on and get to the candy! Today I’m sharing two Pocket Letters I recently swapped! They are on their way, way out West! The first PL uses all the spooky traditional Halloween colors we love so much!

I decided to try something “artsy” for the second PL, and used an orange and white color palette. All the envelopes in the back pockets are white with an orange die cut on it, to match the theme of the front, like a skull or a ghost or a pumpkin. Making these two were a lot of fun.

Have a very safe and spooky Halloween!

Memory Box has a new challenge this month, Black and White! You can take a look at that graphic inspiration and link up your project right here:

This black and white challenge was fun, but certainly a challenge too! I kept wanting to add even a small color addition but kept it all black and white. I like the crisp look!

Paper Sweeties October Inspiration #36

I love this pretty color palette in Paper Sweetie’s October Inspiration! I usually work with bright, vivid color, but I thinkĀ  I love these muted earth tones because they are so unique! Get all the details and play along right here:

I found my inspiration is a few different elements: the straw reminded me of a wreath, and I was drawn to the wood panels and the pumpkin. Here is my earth toned take on the October Inspiration!

Cat Lovers Hop: October 26-30

Cat Lovers Hop - Graphic A

It’s time for a Cat Lovers Hop! Do you have a favorite cat themed project you have always wanted to try? Now is your chance! Get all the details and link up your project right here:

Today I am sharing a very special kitty Pocket Letter! I first heard about Pocket Letters from one of my favorite bloggers, and began making a few Autumn and Halloween themed PLs to swap. I like this fun art form, and have put my own spin on it too!

This PL was inspired by my Poppystamps DT friend, Jeanne Jachna, who has her beautiful projects all over the blogosphere! Jeanne created a bright color block cat card for one of the Poppystamps Look Books, and I have wanted to try that idea from the first moment I laid eyes on it! Since the PL has nine separate pockets, I used nine kitty die cuts and panels for my project. Thanks for the great inspiration, Jeanne!

This is the back of the Pocket Letter. Traditionally, the back pockets are used to include little goodies, embellishments, sequins, twine, charms, a letter about yourself, and even tea or an edible treat! I made nine tiny envelopes and filled each one with a special “people treatie” for my Cat Lover Hop winner!

That’s right, I said winner, because one randomly selected commentator will win this kitty themed Pocket Letter

All you have to do is leave a comment, and be sure to include your email too, so that I can get your snail mail address after the hop closes. The winner also has the option of creating their own kitty Pocket Letter and swapping with me in a one-time exchange true PL tradition! I would love to see your work! In the meantime, I’ll be over at Her Peaceful Garden, checking out all the great kitty inspiration this week!
