It’s time for a Cat Lovers Hop! Do you have a favorite cat themed project you have always wanted to try? Now is your chance! Get all the details and link up your project right here: http://herpeacefulgarden.blogspot.com/2015/10/the-cat-lovers-hop-is-here.html?showComment=1445869122799#c6013702837214994139
Today I am sharing a very special kitty Pocket Letter! I first heard about Pocket Letters from one of my favorite bloggers, and began making a few Autumn and Halloween themed PLs to swap. I like this fun art form, and have put my own spin on it too!
This PL was inspired by my Poppystamps DT friend, Jeanne Jachna, who has her beautiful projects all over the blogosphere! Jeanne created a bright color block cat card for one of the Poppystamps Look Books, and I have wanted to try that idea from the first moment I laid eyes on it! Since the PL has nine separate pockets, I used nine kitty die cuts and panels for my project. Thanks for the great inspiration, Jeanne!
This is the back of the Pocket Letter. Traditionally, the back pockets are used to include little goodies, embellishments, sequins, twine, charms, a letter about yourself, and even tea or an edible treat! I made nine tiny envelopes and filled each one with a special “people treatie” for my Cat Lover Hop winner!
That’s right, I said winner, because one randomly selected commentator will win this kitty themed Pocket Letter
BLOG CANDY!
All you have to do is leave a comment, and be sure to include your email too, so that I can get your snail mail address after the hop closes. The winner also has the option of creating their own kitty Pocket Letter and swapping with me in a one-time exchange true PL tradition! I would love to see your work! In the meantime, I’ll be over at Her Peaceful Garden, checking out all the great kitty inspiration this week!
Thanks for joining me today!
Live your life in color!
The kitties saw this – and all agreed – it’s about time they get a blog hop! They agreed, paw prints are nice, but they want kitty treaties in all the pockets!

What a super-awesome project!!! I’ve never made a pocket letter, but I, too, have been admiring them all over the blogosphere. I absolutely ADORE the bright neon colors you used and the simple contrasting black cat die cut embellishments and pawprints on the back. I have nine-lives’ worth of curiosity about what might be inside those envelopes. How appropriate that the kitty PL has NINE pockets! 🙂 How lovely of you to offer this as blog candy to one of your lucky readers!!!
Thanks so much for helping kick-off my Cat Lovers Hop with this wonderfully creative project!!!
