The Card Concept Challenge #44

It’s time for a brand new challenge over at The Card Concept! There is so much inspiration in today’s challenge photo! It reminds me of an old-fashioned country Christmas! You can get all the details and link up your card right here: http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/

I have to be honest, this was a REALLY tough challenge for me, because I had originally tried to add way too much. I pulled a ton of elements from the photo and attempted to use them all! But then I took a long look at the photo and decided my favorite part was the painting of the old barn. It reminded me of New England, and the time I had spent in Massachusetts. So I created a fusion collage with a few mixed media elements.

I distressed and aged the corners of the pretty pattern paper, and then used the Memory Box Distressed Snowdrift Collage to add the white embossing paste snowflakes. The Evergreen Trees and the Alpine House Collection are from Poppystamps. I finished it with some antique glitter gold Valley Snowflakes, from Poppystamps.
