Hello Everyone!

Here in my neck of the woods, we’ve had a bad drought and no significant rainfall since mid-September. It’s been really hot here the past few days too. On Thursday, we were supposed to get a big storm. The temperature soared, it got hot and balmy, the skies grew black, and all afternoon a fierce wind blew a ton of dried leaves and sticks and seed pods into the air. Every time I stepped outside, I had to pick out organic debris from my hair and clothing when I returned. But sadly, only a few small drops of rain and then the clouds were gone again.

So that’s my fall! Hot, dry, windy, swirling leaves everywhere. It’s almost November, and we’re still wearing sundresses to the market, tank tops to the college football games, kids will be trick-or-treating without a coat, and I’ll be standing in line at the polls in shorts and fancy flip flops.

  1. So sorry you’re not experiencing the same beautiful Fall color we are here in Ohio but your card sure SCREAMS Fall and is just fabulous! Looks like my view out the back door … blowing leaves, birds in the trees and squirrels scurrying about … such a cute scene! Thanks so much for playing in our ‘FALL including Halloween’ challenge at Dies R Us! Please come back again soon!
