Today I heard about a brand new challenge, U is for UFO! If you haven’t heard, UFO is for Unfinished Object, and I have got a drawer crammed with UFOs! This challenge is sponsored by the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers, which is new to me, so I thought I’d check them out. You can visit their blog, and play along with the UFO challenge right here: http://snarkystampers.blogspot.ca/2016/11/soss-73-u-is-for-ufo.html
I am intrigued, and I think I will enjoy creating a few snarky cards in the future. But today, it’s about the UFOs, and as I’ve mentioned, I have a UFO invasion, poking out of their craft drawer, or making their escape and winding up in odd places in the house. Sometimes my cat, Max, will personally deliver the UFO, dropping a bitten up paper tree branch or a mangled paper pumpkin at my feet, so proud of his victory. Now it’s time to put a few UFOs to work!
I found the card base and stitched card panel in this pretty autumn plaid design. They were the start of a plaid challenge, but then I didn’t know what to do next so I scrapped it and made something else. I have a lot of cuts left over in black. Sometimes I’ll cut a die in black to create a shadow effect or add dimension. I rummaged in the drawer and found a tree, a picket fence, and a few leaves and birds, all in black. Voila! An autumn card was born.
The Sisterhood of snarky Stampers looks like a lot of fun, and their card designs gave me a great laugh! Check out their blog for some inspiration and some humor too!
Thanks so much for joining me today!
