Hello Everyone!
It’s time for another challenge at The Card Concept, and this week’s theme is just as gorgeous as ever! We’re going back in time with vintage romance! You can get all the details and link up your vintage card over at The Card Concept right here: http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com/
When I first saw this week’s inspiration photo, I was reminded of a heart-shaped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup! Of course, no chocolate would ever last long enough to become “vintage” in my house!
Along with the “chocolate” heart, I also fell in love with the swirly gold details, and that beautiful script. I felt inspired to create a card that looked like a vintage secret romantic diary. I found some beautiful, thick patterned papers that felt hand-made, with different shades of gold and gold leaf that I used for the background pieces and leaves. I die cut the pears from card stock then inked them with some of my brand new Altenew inks, from the Summer Afternoon 4 pack, creating this Freestyle Collage card.
The beautiful paper worked well for this. Now it’s your turn! We can’t wait to see what you will create, and how you will be inspired!
Thanks so much for joining us today!
Live your life in color!
