Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Party!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Party! Today is Day 2 of our three day blog hop featuring pretty designs and inspiration form our April release! You can always find great ideas over on the Paper Sweeties blog right here:

Take a look at what I have created for you today!

This card turned out so pretty, but the photographs turned out so weird! I tried a brand new technique for me, stamping and heat embossing right on dry watercolor painted paper. I took my favorite inexpensive watercolors, and painted some artsy colors and shapes in order to create a messy, splattered look. Then I stamped images from Make Today Beautiful, Thankful, and our new release, Love You to Pieces. I had a little bit of lift-off of the watercolor paint onto the inky wet clear stamps, but when I lightened my technique to a very gentle “kiss,” the images stamped much better. Then I used silver embossing powder and a heat gun to create a beautiful silvery shimmer! But in this photograph, it looks more like a weird dull grey. Just like ANY new technique, the more we do it, the better we’ll become.

Take a look at what the rest of the design team has created for you today!

The side angle shows off the pretty silver shine a little better, which is a fun touch to the very sweet sentiments of the Love You to Pieces set!
