House of Cards June Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us for the House of Cards June Blog Hop! This month, we are celebrating the end of another term at House at Cards, and saying goodbye to a few of our favorite designers. Take a look at what I’ve created for you this month!

I started with a pretty CAS card using Meirenyu, from Digistamps4Joy, and combined it with Serene Seaside from MHKDesigns. It turned out so cute I thought I’d make one more in a different color palette.

To make the pretty mermaid in green, I enlarged the image just a little, and omitted the seashell sentiment. The images for both cards were printed onto white card stock and colored with copic markers. Originally, I was going to do one mermaid in a CAS style, and the other in a mixed media. I had all sorts of little doo dads and nautical images I cut and ready to go. But this image is really striking and a little haunting too, and I like the CAS look to showcase the design.

But before you go, here’s one more card I created for our special hop! I was thinking outside the box for this!

This darling bird in the round cage is from Birdcage Silhouettes from MHKDesigns! The digital black silhouette of the bird in the cage was manipulated to capture the grey and blue of the glass sea floats. It’s something a little different!
