The Card Concept #92: Bold Bloom

Hello Everybody!

Thanks so much for joining us today and taking a look at the newest inspiration from The Card Concept, Bold Bloom! This inspiration photo provides us with a beautiful stark contrast between the red and the white, and we can’t wait to see how you will be inspired! You can get all the details and link up your Bold Bloom idea over at The Card Concept right here:  http://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

When I first thought of a concept for my Clean and Layered card, I planned on making the big flower red, and the bird white. But then I flipped the script, and made the bird a bright red, and the flowers in shades of white with touches of gold, to mimic the sun coming in through the shades. I then cut about a dozen wooden “planks” from some pretty, light woodgrain paper, and used it for my background. The lines of the wooden “slats” don’t photograph very well, but they give a background a unique texture and look when you hold the card in your hand.

Now it’s your turn! Create a pretty Bold Bloom card and link it up on The Card Concept Blog! While you’re there, you’ll find even more inspiration from our design team too!

Thanks so much for joining us today!

Live your life in color!

You always rock these challenges in such creative ways and you are the queen of die cutting! The white blooms and lovely neutral embossed background couldn’t be more perfect.
