I had a tough time choosing, but I just love little birds! Open the window and see who’s in the garden!

New Arrival with The Card Concept

Hello Crafty Friends,

I’m so glad you are joining us for this week’s challenge on The Card Concept! This week, you have a hard decision to make, 193a New Arrival, or 193b Busy Bee. You can get all the details on how to play along, and see more great inspiration and ideas over at The Card Concept, right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I chose 193a, New Arrival! I just fell in love with that sweet little orange fox, the bright white cake, and the little birch trees. I put them all together in a Clean and Layered Easel Card, and tried to stick to the color palette.

I made this pretty cake card base with the Floral Cake Pop Up Easel Set from Poppystamps. The cake can stand up like n easel or fold flat to fit into an envelope.

I just love bees so much, so deciding between New Arrival and Busy Bee was tough for me. How about you? What will you choose? Create a card with our challenge themes and link it up over on The Card Concept blog.

Cozy Comfort with The Card Concept

Hello Crafty Friends!

You picked a great day to drop in on The Card Concept this week! We’ve got some beautiful designs to keep you warm and cozy during this chilly February that you are going to love! You can find more great ideas and inspiration, and play along with our challenges this week over on The card Concept blog right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I was inspired by Challenge 189a, Cozy Comfort. I love the bold color combo and the beautiful star design. This photo reminds me of my Great Grandmother, Frances, who made beautiful star quilts for all her children and grandchildren. I have seen her flawless star pattern quilts in bright rainbow colors on the beds of all my aunts and uncles and they will always remind me of her.

I used crisp snowy white, cheery red, smokey grey, and black to create a warm and cozy quilted star of my own, for a detailed Clean and Layered look. Now it’s your turn! Create a card in one of our styles and link it up over at The Card Concept!
