I am so glad you stopped by today to take a look at the pretty card I created for this week’s challenge from The Card Concept. Our theme this week is Loads of Lavender, and you will LOVE all the beautiful inspiration from our design team over at The Card Concept blog right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com
I was really inspired by the beautiful lavender blooms in this galvanized pitcher. I started with an embossed background design, a brand new addition to my stash! Then I added pretty lavender stems and a little greenery, overflowing my garden cart, creating a Clean and Layered look.
Now it’s your turn to create loads of lavender and link it up to our challenge over at The Card Concept. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create.
The Easter Bunny is hopping down the bunny trail bringing us a brand new inspiration from The Card Concept! This week, our theme is Celebrate Easter, and we have some fresh spring projects and a cozy photo to shake your tail about. You can get all the info over on The Card Concept blog right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com
I love the sweet display in these soft earth tones, and brought them into my Clean and Layered card. This reminds me of a country kitchen, with lots of sugar, faith, and love, and that ALL connects me to Easter.
I created an outside country scene with tiny bunnies, and old country fence, and a few bright spring flowers. In my neck of the woods, the young bunnies are everywhere, munching grass in the yard when I come home from work right around sunset. They are so adorable! I’m sure your Celebrate Easter cards will be bunnylicious too. Just create a card featuring one of our styles, and link it up over on The Card Concept blog.
Simply create a card using at least one Poppystamps product, link it up over on the Poppystamps blog, and you might be randomly selected to win an amazing prize from Poppystamps, just in time for your crafty Easter basket!

I just love this bold and bright butterfly! A few days ago, I was outside in my Florida garden, and the biggest monarch butterfly I have ever seen fluttered around and then landed right on my finger! I think she was saying “thanks” because I spent the afternoon pruning dead wood from a bed full of milkweed that had been absolutely covered in monarch caterpillars about two weeks earlier. Then a black racer snake curled around my foot. What can I say, kids and animals love me!
You will love creating brilliant butterflies, inspired by these great jewel-tone colors. I used the color palette, the butterfly, and the tiny purple buds to create my Clean and Layered card. What will you create?

I fell in love with the fresh color palette of this Irish bouquet, and brought those fresh flowers into my Freestyle Collage card. If we are talking Luck of the Irish, we have to add a black kitty! In Ireland, black cats are lucky!
Happy Valentine’s Day from all of us here at Crimson Owl Creations! I created this card for my wonderful husband, Aaron, who also serves on the Crimson Owl Creations Board of Directors and is our chief CFO AND IT man! He wears many hats for a hubby, and he’s always acting all crabby about not getting paid enough for all he does! But since we’ve moved to Florida, we’ve embraced these happy little crabs doing a happy little crab dance because they are so much in love! I think he loved the card!
We are wishing that your days are filled with love and happy crabbies too!
Welcome to this week’s new challenge from The Card Concept, Sweetheart Sweets! We would love for you to join in and create a card inspired by this week’s photo, then link it up over at The Card Concept right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com
We’ve got seven great styles to choose from: Clean and Simple, Clean and Layered, Shabby Chic and Vintage, Clean and Graphic, Freestyle Collage, Classy and Elegant, and Mixed Media. What’s my style? This week it’s feeling like Clean and Layered, with a bouquet of fancy layered die cuts. Or is it more like Clean and Graphic? I’m not really sure, and the great part is, you don’t have to be either! Just create a beautiful design, link it up, and you might be selected as this week’s design super star!
I felt really inspired by those bright colors! You know I love to use die cuts like die cut Queen, but I just wasn’t feeling my cupcake groove. So I thought outside the box a little and focused on the juicy color palette, red, pink, green, and a touch of chocolate. I used fresh green leaves and a even a heart too!
Now it’s your turn! What will you create? We are trying to encourage as many crafters as possible to play along, so if you haven’t tried a Card Concept challenge before, why not let the Sweetheart Sweets be your fist?
I am thrilled to be back with The Card Concept for a fresh, new 2021 card season! Today, I am sharing a card I created for our newest challenge, #146, Winter Warmth! It’s so easy to play along with The Card Concept. Just pick one of our fun styles and create a card or project using Clean and Simple, Clean and Layered, Shabby Chic & Vintage, Clean and Graphic, Freestyle Collage, Classy & Elegant, or Mixed Media! All of the styles are explained over at The Card Concept, along with the linky for your inspired card. Take a look at this week’s inspiration photo, see what our talented new team has created, and get all the details over at The Card Concept right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com
Our theme is Winter Warmth, and I found a few elements from the photo to be inspired by! I did a little new year crafty organizing and found this awesome pack of coffee cup shaped shaker cards and plastic bubbles, and thought they would be perfect for this challenge. I love the big coffee mug, the red and white color palette, and the tiny trees and moose. I created a snowy wintery scene inside the bubble, with a cabin, pine trees, mountains, and a little moon, and filled it full of snowflakes, stars, and shiny red sequins.
Trying to hammer down a stye for this card was tough – -it is mixed media with the shaker addition, it’s certainly freestyle collage, and it’s Clean and Graphic too. A little something for everyone!
Now it’s your turn to create your idea of Winter Warmth, and link it up over on The Card Concept blog. Be sure to mention The Card Concept in your post too!
It’s wildly and wonderfully brilliant that Day 12 is The 12 Days of Christmas! That very old yuletide carol is filled with great visual imagery. I love seeing designer’s very modern twists on the classic carol. My colorful little partridge is ready for Christmas!
Today’s tag is inspired by The 12 Days of Christmas, from Day 12.
