This little Easter Bunny is painting his eggs in a colorful surprise just for you! I used the brand new Sweet Cuts: Square Scallop Frames to make the colorful frame. You are going to LOVE that set! I also used the brand new You Add Color to My Life, which pairs up perfectly with Hoppy Easter. The finishing touch? Paper Sweeties sequins in cheerful spring colors!

Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Party!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Party! Today is Day 2 of our three day blog hop featuring pretty designs and inspiration form our April release! You can always find great ideas over on the Paper Sweeties blog right here: https://papersweeties.com/

Take a look at what I have created for you today!

This card turned out so pretty, but the photographs turned out so weird! I tried a brand new technique for me, stamping and heat embossing right on dry watercolor painted paper. I took my favorite inexpensive watercolors, and painted some artsy colors and shapes in order to create a messy, splattered look. Then I stamped images from Make Today Beautiful, Thankful, and our new release, Love You to Pieces. I had a little bit of lift-off of the watercolor paint onto the inky wet clear stamps, but when I lightened my technique to a very gentle “kiss,” the images stamped much better. Then I used silver embossing powder and a heat gun to create a beautiful silvery shimmer! But in this photograph, it looks more like a weird dull grey. Just like ANY new technique, the more we do it, the better we’ll become.

The side angle shows off the pretty silver shine a little better, which is a fun touch to the very sweet sentiments of the Love You to Pieces set!

Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties April 2017 New Release Sneak Peeks! Today our creative team is sharing their ideas and inspiration for our brand new April release! You can see more great ideas and inspiration at the Paper Sweeties Blog right here: https://papersweeties.com/

This was a fun card to make! There I was, in my meeting, taking notes. Budget this, taxes that, blah blah blah, boy, I could use a nice cool drink! Maybe a summer drink! Like on vacation! We’ll be leaving for vacation soon . . . and so much for my meeting. Soon I was doodling, thinking about our vacation plans, pulling out my crayons, creating page after page of doodles.

Fun, but maybe a little weird. But it is cute!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series – April 2017!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series April 2017 Blog Hop! We have such a fun new set to share with you this month, You Add Color to My Life! You can find tons of great inspiration and ideas over on the Paper Sweeties blog right here: https://papersweeties.com/

I wanted to create the April calendar page all around these fun stamps and dies! Take a look!

It’s colorful crayons, notebooks, a little doodling, and a little mess too! I used the new Stamps and Dies from the You Add Color to My Life set, along with the Widow Add-On: Elements,Snow Time Add-On: Sweet Treats, and Planner Series: Checklist.

I loved making the calendar squares out of the stitched Window Add-Ons. They are like tiny sketchbook pages with bright illustrations. For this calendar, I wanted to show you how versatile these little crayons and squares could be inside a classroom or on a bulletin board too! They are SO fun to create! Even the melted crayons and paint drips add so much color and design.

Paper Sweeties March 2017 New Release Party!

Hello Everyone!

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties March 2017 New Release Party! We have a terrific coffee themed release for you this month that will really perk you up! You can find cuploads of inspiration and ideas over at the paper Sweeties blog right here: https://papersweeties.com/

I love this card because it reminds me of my mother, and the yellow kitchen we had in our old house. It was a warm and friendly place, and the coffee was always on the stove. How many of us have really wonderful memories that all began with a pot of coffee on the stove?
