Summer Fun with The Card Concept #138

Welcome to some Summer Fun with this week’s challenge from The Card Concept, Summer Fun! When I saw this inspiration photo a few weeks ago, I took a quick glance and thought it was a patriotic table setting in red, white, and blue! But when I started working I took a closer look and to my delight, I discovered this awesome sea theme! Take a look!

I love these summer colors, and the bright blues, crisp whites, and a splash of red! I used them all in my super simple Clean and Layered card. You can find more great inspiration and ideas, and link up your Summer Fun card over at The card Concept right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

Summer Fun sea colors like these always remind me of New England,  Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and a table full of lobster rolls and crab cakes! Summer in New England always feel like VACATION, since I now live in Florida. Summer Fun by the sea in Florida here has an entirely different color palette! I wishI could add one of those North Atlantic giant squids or a kraken from an old whaling map to really make this feel more old New England! But instead I found some fun background pattern paper with tiny rows of anchors , and a few little sea friends from the Poppystamps Whittle animals collection. I added a few cuts and and a few sea colored sequins for a Clean and Layered look.

Bright Florals with The Card Concept

Hello Crafty Friends!

Have you seen the AMAZING photo inspiration from The Card Concept this week? Our theme is Bright Florals, and our design team is sharing some of the boldest and brightest florals in town! You can see the team’s awesome designs, get all the details, and link up your Bright Florals creation over on The Card Concept right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I really fell in love with the gorgeous blue textured wall in this photo, and started out with that! I used the brand new Chrysanthemum Field 3D Embossing Folder from Poppystamps, and created the pretty blue card background, then just stared at it for days! Finally, I tried another brand new crafty treat for me, the HANDS die from Julie Ebersole with Essentials by Ellen. I have seen this pretty die popping up all over blogland lately, and then was encouraged by my friend Michele from I Card Everyone to add this die to my collection. I wanted to create an image of joy and abundance, two arms clutching a giant bouquet!

Now it’s your turn! Show us how you are inspired by today’s Bright Florals challenge, and link up your project over on The Card Concept!

True to the Red, White, and Blue with The Card Concept

Hello Crafty Friends!

Welcome to another amazing challenge from The Card Concept! This week, we are celebrating the Red, White, and Blue! The ENTIRE time I worked on this card, cutting out all the tiny states, making the garland chain, I just kept humming that catchy song from Ru Paul, where she sings, “I’m an American, American, red, white, and blue. I’m an American, American, just like you.” That song really speaks to me, and I love thinking bout how wonderful and diverse our country is. So I wanted to celebrate the ed, white, and blue with this bright and bold Clean and Graphic card!

You can find more great red, white, and blue inspiration from our amazing design team over on The Card Concept Blog right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

There are a a lot of inspirational little gems in this week’s inspiration photo. For me, it was the red, white, and blue color combination that always reminds me of that rustic, Americana country look. I love the tiny tray of the continental United States with the little red heart, and that little white garland chain. I went with a modern Clean and Graphic look with a tiny heart from my spot on the beach  here in South Florida!

Now it’s your turn! Create your red, white, and blue inspiration and link it up over at our card Concept Blog! Be rue to the red, white, and blue!

Woodland Nursery at The Card Concept #131

Hello Crafty Friends!

We have got the CUTEST inspiration photo to share with you this week for our newest challenge from The Card Concept, Woodland Nursery! You can see what the design team has created for you this week,  and link up your own Woodland Nursery project over at  The Card Concept blog right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I was inspired by the soft browns and greys of the background, the tiny blue bird, and of course, an adorable woodland animal! I made sure to include them all in my Clean and Layered card!

I started with a fun background paper that had fun, puffy trees on it, and a little peek-a-boo squirrel! Then I added a few colorful tree die cuts, and this adorable squirrel I found in a bargain bin at local craft store closing its doors. I love his grey color and that little nut! I thought he was perfect for this project.

Now it’s your turn! We’d love to see what you’ll create! Make a card that features one of our six styles, or mix and match to come up with something new! Link it up over on The Card Concept!

A Touch O Green with The Card Concept

Hello Crafty Friends!

Thank you so much for popping in today and taking a look at our newest challenge from The Card Concept, Irish Coffee! Now, you may be wondering, just what exactly does this card have to do with Irish coffee? Take a look at our inspiration photo and see if you can find the clues, then head on over to The Card Concept for more great inspiration and ideas right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

Did you find it? That little green pick-up truck is the cutest, so I had to add one to my Clean and Layered card!  I knew I wanted to fill the truck bed up with some greenery, and I was thinking some delicate little clover with tiny flowers or something pretty, when my brand new die arrived! It’s the new Monstera die set and I can’t stop playing with it, so in the back of the truck it went! My plant moving guys are celebrating with some Irish coffee after they unload this Monstera!

Now it’s your turn to come up with a fresh and green idea! You can select any of our styles to play along with, or mix and match styles and come up with something magically delicious!
