What could be a better way to spend a long summer day than with a hot coffee on a cool summer beach early in the morning? That sounds like heaven to me! I used soft, pale beachy colors for my Freestyle Collage card. Perhaps this little collection of sea creatures have dropped by for a cuppa?

Anchors Aweigh with The Card Concept

Hello Friends,

It’s Anchors Aweigh with The Card Concept this week, as we bring you beautiful nautical Americana. I love our inspiration photo this week. These red, white, and blue collections always remind me of bright New England cottages and the Atlantic Coast. You can find more great inspiration and ideas, and enter your Anchors Aweigh project over at The Card Concept blog right here http://The blog permalink (without spaces, of course) is: https:// thecardconcept. blogspot. com/2021/05/ the-card-concept-156-anchors-aweigh. html

I LOVE all things nautical, and was drawn to the blue and white sailboat pillow. It’s a great color combination, navy blue and white, and I wanted to capture that in a super easy breezy CAS design. I did the sailboat and seagull in bright, crisp, white and when I laid it out against the navy blue background, I loved it! I am going to send this card to my Dad for Father’s Day, because I know he will love this little boat just as much as I do.

Now it’s your turn! We can’t wait to see what you’ll create and how you will be inspired by these image and these colors. Create a project, inspired by our photo, and link it up over on The Card Concept.

Happy Mother’s Day with The Card Concept

Hello Friends,

It’s time to celebrate MOMS of all shapes and sizes with this month’s challenge from The Card Concept, Happy Mother’s Day! Take a look at our beautiful inspiration photo today!

There are so many beautiful elements to choose from in this photo, I didn’t know where to start. I do know, however, that any mom would love this bright and cheerful springtime bouquet. I chose to focus on the color palette from a few bright blooms, and the pretty blue and white tableware. So many of us are unable to celebrate with our moms with year, so instead, we must think about them every day, and send them our love from a distance.

Now it’s your turn to create a card or project in any style and link it up over at The card Concept. This design is Clean and Layered, but you may be inspired by mixed media, or Shabby Chic and Vintage, or Classy and Elegant. Show us what you can do, and include our link over to The Card Concept https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

Celebrate Easter with The Card Concept

Hello Friends,

The Easter Bunny is hopping down the bunny trail bringing us a brand new inspiration from The Card Concept! This week, our theme is Celebrate Easter, and we have some fresh spring projects and a cozy photo to shake your tail about. You can get all the info over on The Card Concept blog right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I love the sweet display in these soft earth tones, and brought them into my Clean and Layered card. This reminds me of a country kitchen, with lots of sugar, faith, and love, and that ALL connects me to Easter.

I created an outside country scene with tiny bunnies, and old country fence, and a few bright spring flowers. In my neck of the woods, the young bunnies are everywhere, munching grass in the yard when I come home from work right around sunset. They are so adorable! I’m sure your Celebrate Easter cards will be bunnylicious too. Just create a card featuring one of our styles, and link it up over on The Card Concept blog.

Butterfly Brilliance with The Card Concept

Hello Friends!

Thanks for dropping by! It’s time for a brand new challenge over at The Cad Concept! Our challenges are SO easy to join in. Simply create a card in one of out unique styles, and link it up over on our blog, The Card Concept, right here https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I just love this bold and bright butterfly! A few days ago, I was outside in my Florida garden, and the biggest monarch butterfly I have ever seen fluttered around and then landed right on my finger! I think she was saying “thanks” because I spent the afternoon pruning dead wood from a bed full of milkweed that had been absolutely covered in monarch caterpillars about two weeks earlier. Then a black racer snake curled around my foot. What can I say, kids and animals love me!

You will love creating brilliant butterflies, inspired by these great jewel-tone colors. I used the color palette, the butterfly, and the tiny purple buds to create my Clean and Layered card. What will you create?
