Fusion Challenge: Red Christmas

Hello Everybody!

Today I am playing along with the Fusion Challenge, Red Christmas! You can find all the details and link up your creation over on the Fusion blog right here: http://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/

I love making tags! They are like tiny little Christmas cards and I use so many of them every year! I decided this was a great challenge for a festive and fun tag! I was really inspired by the red plaid and the pretty white sprigs in the pitcher.

House of Cards Holiday Blog Hop

Hello Everybody!

Thank you so much for joining us for the House of Cards Holiday Blog Hop! We have a beautiful challenge for you this month, with prizes, sponsors, and great inspiration and ideas! You can get all the details, and start at the beginning of the hop over at House of Cards right here: http://houseofcardschallenge.blogspot.com/

Our inspiration photo is all about the holiday! How will you be inspired? Create a holiday themed project and link it up at House of Cards for your chance to win some beautiful prizes from our amazing sponsors!

Take a look at what I have created for you this month!

I fell in love with the beautiful, natural Christmas tree in the inspiration photo. I loved it’s simplicity, and the minimalist decorations on the tree. This year, Mr. Crimson Owl and I are celebrating a very minimalist Christmas, focusing on our blessings from the past, the present and the future. So I selected a beautiful, elegant, vintage image from mhkdesigns, Christmas Frames. I love its Victorian vibe!

My second card was created with an image from Beccy’s Place, available from beccysplace@bigpond.com.  I looked at many beautiful Christmas images from Beccy’s Place, festive and cheerful. Then I came across Seasonal Window and felt it would be the perfect compliment to my Deck the Halls card. The simple candle burning in the window, a Christmas Eve welcome to the passersby on a cold night, really is what the idea of Christmas is all about. I even added a little snowy texture to the windows!

Take a look at what our design team has created for you this month!

25 Days of Tags

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe we’re down to the last week of the 25 Days of Christmas Tags? I’ve seen so many wonderful tags all month, and now have a boatload of inspiration and ideas for my own holiday presents and tags! You can get all the details and link up your holiday tag over at Tracey’s blog right here: https://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/2017/11/the-25-days-of-christmas-tags-main-post.html

Today’s glittery tag is so sparkly and shiny, it just feels like Christmas! I used glittery paper and gold thread to capture the festive feel of a tag created on Day 19, by Daniela Dobson, from Technique Tuesday.

The scalloped edge of Daniela’s tag reminded me of a notebook page, and that little sprig of holly is so festive!

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Hello Everybody!

Today, I am playing along with the 25 Days of Christmas Tags, and I have a fun one! Take a look!

You can get all the details and link up your holiday tag over at Tracey’s blog right here: https://inmycreativeopinion.blogspot.com/2017/11/the-25-days-of-christmas-tags-main-post.html

My tag was inspired by Brianna Loeffelbein, from Avery Elle, on Day 18. I love those big, bright Christmas flowers and the fun square shape. Even though I didn’t have poinsettia stamps, I had these bold striped flowers and leaves and thought I’d give them a try.
