Mosaic Madness with The card Concept #115

Hello Crafty Friends!

We are so glad you could join us today for our next challenge with The Card Concept, Mosaic Madness!  This week, our inspiration photo features rows of beautiful details in bright pops of teal, orange, and yellow. I was inspired by those shapes and colors in my super Clean and Simple Layered card. You can find more great design ideas and link up your own Mosaic Madness design over at The Card Concept blog right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I love how this photo reminds me of the beautiful Moorish designs of the Alhambra in Spain, and I wanted to capture some of those pretty details in my card. But after it was finished, the round shape in the center actually reminded me of the miraculous Rose Window, which survived the great fire in Notre Dame Cathedral last month. Either way, remembering two of the world’s greatest architectural achievements has always brought amazing inspiration to me, and I hope it will inspire you too.

Now it’s your turn! We would love to see what you will create, and how you will be inspired by our Mosaic Madness challenge this week!

Thanks so much for joining us today!

Galoshes Galore with The Card Concept #114

Hello Crafty Friends!

We are so happy you could join us today for a rainy day challenge with The Card Concept, Galoshes Galore! This week, our design team was inspired by colorful rain boots and rainy day weather. You can find more great inspiration and ideas over at The Card Concept Blog right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I love the inspiration photo, but I really had to think outside of the box because I do not have ANY  rain boots! I wanted to use my picket fence, but then I had to get creative. I kept thinking about what colorful objects could I hang off a fence, and then the idea of the colorful birds flew into my head! I used the bright color palette against the grey fence to create my Clean and Layered card.

Now it’s your turn to show us what you’ll create!

Today I am playing along with Fusion, and their wonderful Under the Sea theme, Tropical Fish! There’s still a little time to play along over on the Fusion Blog right here: https://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/04/fusion-tropical-fish.html

I was so inspired by the bright primary colors in this underwater scene! I used a few of my favorite marine life animals, like the coral, the octopus, and a few brightly colored fish to create an underwater scene of my own!

Spring Celebration with The Card Concept #113

Hello Crafty Friends!

We are so happy that you have stopped by today for a very special Spring Celebration from The Card Concept! This week, our theme is Spring Celebration, and these beautiful pink blossoms and that sweet bunny will make you feel like celebrating all season long! You can see more great inspiration and ideas, and link up your Spring Celebration card over at The Card Concept blog right here: https://thecardconcept.blogspot.com

I loved this week’s inspiration photo, and wanted to make sure my Clean and Layered card featured a cute bunny and those big pink blooms! I experimented with the striped plaid background panel in a few different darker colors, but decided to stay with white to compliment the light minty green and keep the pastel palette.

Now it’s your turn! We can’t wait to see what you will design for your own Spring Celebration. Pick one of our six styles, or create one of your own!

Cheery Eggs with Fusion

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am so glad you could join us today with the latest from Fusion Card Challenge, Cheery Eggs! I was so inspired by these bold, bright, colorful eggs, I just had to add them to this card! Sadly, I have been SO sick with the worst cold ever, that it took me almost a week to make this! I’d cut an egg, then rest for a while, cut an egg and make some tea, cut an egg and then just zone out with Netflix for a while. The REAL cheer for me is actually finishing this simple card in time to make the close! You can get all the details and link up your cheery eggs over at The Fusion Blog right here: https://fusioncardchallenge.blogspot.com/2019/04/fusion-cheery-eggs.html
