Shades of purple are popping up all over the internet! What’s going on? Purple is the color of National Domestic Violence Awareness Month! Becca Cruger, from Damsel of Distressed Cards, has organized The Hop to Stop, which runs October 1st -14th. You can get all the details and link up your card right here: http://damselofdistressedcards.blogspot.com/2015/10/the-hop-to-stop.html
I wanted to send a hopeful message with this card, using bright pink and white against the dark purple. I had tried a brand new technique too – -embossing gel! It goes on sort of milky white, like glue, then dries clear. I had never used it before and thought it would dry white, but it dried clear, creating this wonderful texture from the Memory Box designer stencil, Texture Honey Comb.
The sentiment is Whimsical Words from Stampin’ Up, along with dies from Reverse Confetti, Paper Smooches, Memory Box, and Papertrey Inks!
Thanks for joining me today!
Live your life in color!
The kitties give you “paws up” for this beautiful card….

As someone who is utter shite (it’s not a swear word if I say it in Australian, right?) with die cuts, this is SO cute! I love the uplifting message and the awesome use of your dies. Thank you so much for continuing to share your talents at the Hop to Stop!
